OpenELIS Web Portal

OpenELIS Result Reports

The OpenELIS Web Portal now has Environmental Bacteriology Public/Private Drinking Water, Recreational Water, and Blood Lead test results that can be accessed on-line.

To request access to the OpenELIS web portal, email OpenElisWebportal@health.mo.gov.

Submitting clinical (human) samples only OR submitting clinical and environmental samples

  1. A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) must be completed and signed by your authorizing representative and returned to the State Public Health Laboratory (SPHL). Attachment A will need to be completed by each user requesting access.

  2. Return completed MOA and Attachment A to OpenElisWebportal@health.mo.gov or it can be faxed to 573-526-7368.
  3. Complete an Automated Security Access Processing (ASAP) request. See hyperlinked document for step by step instructions for completing request. An ASAP request must be completed by each user requesting access.

  4. After user set up is completed by the SPHL staff, user will be contacted with login credentials for the web portal.

Submitting environmental samples only

Patients’ Access to Test Result Report(s)

As a result of changes to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy Rule 45 CFR §164.524, patients may now request laboratory test results directly from the Missouri State Public Health Laboratory (MSPHL).

To obtain report(s) of laboratory tests performed by the MSPHL, complete the Patient Access Form and the HIPAA Authorization for Disclosure Form found at the links below.  Completed forms may be mailed, emailed, faxed, or dropped off at the MSPHL.  For additional information regarding requests, please call the Patient Access Coordinator at 573-751-3334.

Retention of clinical laboratory result reports:

*Note: Prior to 2008, result reports were kept according to CLIA 493.1105.

 

Newborn Screening Laboratory Report Access Portal coming soon.

Approved healthcare professionals will have access to their patients’ Newborn Screening laboratory reports online using this web site.
