Utah Firm Recalls Beef Jerky Products Due to Misbranding and Undeclared Allergen

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services received information regarding a recall of beef jerky products because of misbranding and an undeclared allergen. The products were processed with a releasing agent containing soy lecithin, a known allergen that is not declared on the label. The products subject to recall were produced prior to Feb. 2, 2014, and were shipped to retail locations nationwide.

Desert Star Brand:

Southwest Trail Brand:

Terrell Brand:

Kettle Creek Brand:

The products subject to recall bear the establishment number "EST. 18951" inside the USDA Mark of Inspection and a date on the packages prior to August 11, 2015, in the format of "mm dd yy."
