UPDATED: CORRECT PRODUCTION CODE INFORMATION: Voluntary Recall of Dry Pet Foods Due to the Potential for Salmonella

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services received the following news release regarding Diamond Pet Foods expanding the recall to include batches of nine brands of dry pet food formulas manufactured between December 9, 2011 and April 7, 2012 due to potential Salmonella contamination.

Brands included in the recall include:

The recall affects only products distributed in the Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Further distribution through other pet food channels may have occurred.

In addition the Kirkland Signature products included in the recall include:

The recall affects only products distributed in Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Puerto Rico and Canada.

Canidae Pet Foods is recalling certain dry pet food formulas manufactured between December 9, 2011 and January 31, 2012 at the Diamond Pet Food Gaston, South Carolina plant. 

Further distribution to other pet food channels may occur: Florida, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

WellPet LLC is recalling Wellness® dry dog food after being notified by Diamond Pet Foods regarding the presence of Salmonella in Diamond's Gaston, South Carolina facility.

Apex Pet Foods is recalling all dry dog food formulas manufactured on January 24, 2012.
