When will I find out if I am qualified or not to take the exams?
You will be notified by email with the board's decision within two (2) weeks from the board meeting.
Where do I find the study materials for the exams?
You will receive the exams' study materials with your qualification letter. However, you may obtain the appropriate licensure level study information by visiting the Statutes, Regulations and Resources page.
Where do I go to take the exams?
The state and NAB exams are computer-based exams and administered on a computer at a PSI Technology Center. Please refer to the appropriate handbook located on the Statutes, Regulations and Resources page.
How can I obtain more information about exams?
If you were found qualified, you received information about the exams along with a link to the appropriate licensure examination handbook offered by NAB. The handbook provides exam procedures, fees, the process, and timeline. Please refer to the appropriate handbook located on the Statutes, Regulations and Resources page.
How do I update my mailing address, phone numbers or email with the board office?
Send an email to the board office at firstname.lastname@example.org with your full name, license number, and the updated information.
Who needs to be informed when I accept or resign from an administrator position?
Send an email to the board office at email@example.com with your full name, license number, effective date of change, and facility name(s).
How will I be notified by your office regarding my application status?
You will be notified by email of your application status.
What do I need to do if my last name changed due to legal proceedings, marriage, or divorce?
Complete the Name Change Request and submit to the address indicated in the form. NOTE: A fee of $10.00 is required if a license is needed.
If I am not found qualified by the board will I receive a refund of my application fee?
All fees are non-refundable.
What are the fees to the different applications?

What is the timeline for any process or transaction that requires a fee?
All documents with a fee are processed by the Department of Health and Senior Services Fee Receipts office. It can take a minimum of 3 days before the Board office receives the documents.
