Last week, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Rural Utilities Service (RUS) announced the FY 2012 application window for the Community-Oriented Connectivity Broadband Grant Program (Community Connect Grant Program). The Community Connect Grant Program is designed to provide financial assistance to furnish broadband service in rural, economically-challenged communities where such service does not currently exist.
For those interested in learning more about the program and application process, RUS is hosting two informational webinars scheduled for May 14th and May 24th from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. ET. Each session will be used to discuss program eligibility and regulatory requirements as well as provide guidance on how to submit a successful grant application.
Participation in the upcoming RUS webinars requires preregistration. To preregister for either session, please contact Nicole Payne (202-720-2281 or Nicole.Payne@wdc.usda.gov) or Carla Johnson (202 720-0667 or Carla.Johnson2@wdc.usda.gov).
