Meaningful Use Stage 2: What’s Next? April 11th Webinar MO HIT Assistance Center News Advisory

MO HIT Assistance Center Advanced Webinar April 11th
NEW TIME! 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Columbia, MO—Last month, the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) for Stage 2 meaningful use was posted to the Office of the Federal Register for public inspection. The proposed rule outlines the next stage of meaningful use for the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Programs, which are administered by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). On Wednesday, April 11th, you can find out what changes will be required of your current documentation methods in order to continue your successful participation in the EHR Incentive program at our monthly MO HIT Assistance Center advanced Webinar presentation.

Susan Shumate, EHR implementation specialist for Primaris, a MO HIT Assistance Center partner, brings this hefty rule down to size in a one-hour Webinar presentation, “Meaningful Use Stage 2: What’s Next?” and gives you a snapshot of what to expect in the next phase of meaningful use. We are also changing the time of our advanced Webinar sessions beginning next month. The advanced webinars will be held from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. to enable more providers to attend our live advanced sessions.

Shumate joined Primaris in December 2010 and works with practices assisting eligible providers in achieving meaningful use via EHR vendor selection, report, and workflow analysis. In addition to her Bachelor of Science degree in business administration-marketing from Missouri State University-Springfield, MO, she is currently working on a nursing degree at Jefferson College. Recently, she successfully passed the Implementation Support Specialist Health Information Technology Professional Exam. Prior to joining the Primaris team, she was an EHR training specialist at SSM Healthcare. She is a member of Medical Group Management Association.
