Great Plains Center for Agricultural Health Funds

The Great Plains Center for Agricultural Health is pleased to announce the availability of additional funds for small grant projects for 2013-2014. We invite proposals for two types of projects:
• basic and applied research projects addressing agricultural safety and health priority issues, needs, or gaps
• community partnering proposals from community-based organizations and entities with special ability to engage in outreach, education, and translation of evidence-based methods for preventing agricultural injury and illness among agricultural workers

We expect to fund projects which must be implemented and completed by September 29, 2014. The maximum permitted budget is $15,000 total (direct plus indirect). All applications must be received by August 5, 2013. Applicants will be notified late August of merit review results and the award decision. Funds will be available immediately after IRB approval is obtained. Collaborative and inter-disciplinary applications are encouraged.

If you are considering applying for funding, it is strongly recommended that you first discuss your plans with Fred Gerr, Center Director ( or 319-335-4212).
