October is National Residents’ Rights Month

A national effort to celebrate and honor those living in long-term care homes occurs every October.  Known as Residents’ Rights Month, this year’s theme is “Speak Out Against Elder Abuse!”  The theme was selected to encourage residents and others to learn about and speak out against elder abuse.  Information and materials for Residents’ Rights Month, designated by the National Consumer Voice for Quality Long-Term Care, are available online at
